Pity that the weather really turned out to be great in the evening, so the folks preferred hanging out in the beer garden two blocks away. But still there were some 80-100 people coming to see our show. However, the real interesting stuff happened in the afternoon before the gig. Some glove puppet action.

Okay, we could deal with the wet summer in Switzerland. But guess what, our band room could not. If you're familiar with the term "damage by water" then maybe you get a picture what the situation is in our bandroom. And as the humidity is not really good for our equipment, we decided to move. And even though it's hard to find a rehearsal room in our city, we managed to get one. And we'll be movin in to our new home in October. Stay tuned to see some pictures!

Feeling like a barkeeper

What do we have in common with a barkeeper? Very easy, we know all about mixing. Ok, for us of course it's guitars and drums rather than vodka or martini. But as the mixing sessions have begun, we can tell you a bit more, which songs are due to make it on the first album (we're still looking for a title).

Time to rock your sofa! Today, our whole acoustic set (including the drums) has to be moved across the town. The reason we're doing all this is because we're playing an exclusive gig next saturday in the heart of our city. Just for some twenty people. The house where we're playing is absolutely beautiful and quite old. In other words: The best scenery to play an acoustic gig.

This is going to be the last episode from "Rocking the Mountains". Everyone reunited. Inside and outside. The whole thing is underlined with the first rehearsal of a new song. It's in german and it's about the long walk that we had done a few days earlier, when I got bitten by a tick.

This is the one for all the cowboys amongst us. We've always dreamed of writing a country song (only one, that is enough for us). And not only did we manage to write quite a good one, we even tried the song on some horses that were grazing outside. And guess what? I think, they just love it. Of course they do. Horse and country belong toghether - somehow. The best episode so far... ok, that's my personal opinion.

We turned the living room into our rehearsal room, while the ponies and cows were grazing right in front of our windows. I think they were quite confused. And don't forget the grill! Aaaah, we had some amazing food.

16 days to go... Although all the four of us have quite some gig experience, I'm getting nervous. For us as a band, it's the first time we will be performing together. And the last rehearsal was a mess, I was very tense. I sang ok, but I played shit, and so did everybody else :-) The location is good. We visited the scene of the crime on monday. As the "e9" belongs to an organisation comparable to ymca, alcohol and somoking is prohibited. Personally, I don't have a problem with this. But hey, we're all 30-something. And so is our audience. Regard us as responsibile grown-ups...
